Remodeling with a Rustic Feel
Ellen Kurtz Interiors designed several remodeling projects with this client throughout the years.
After an initial consultation with the client to talk about design needs/concepts, Ellen and Jill found she wanted the loft to be used as an entertaining space. This projects scope included a bar, fireplace, bathroom and seating area to watch TV. The home’s layout, however, presented a challenge. The ceilings are sloped around the entire perimeter of the space, making it difficult to place the ideal bar and TV area.

Renovation Phase 1:
Designers Ellen and Jill were busy with drawings to modify an upper level, creating a rustic party room.
Renovation Phase 2:
These past few weeks have been dedicated to gutting the space and roughing in plumbing changes. Rustic reclaimed wood floors, cabinets and building materials have all been ordered. John Dickens, owner of Dickens Remodeling, has this project well underway and feels it is gong smoothly.
